I have started to think about the design for the chair that the librarian will be sitting in for a large part of the film. I've measured up and cut to size two pieces of thick foamy stuff which will be the basis of my chair and which I will build ontop of with other materials. Following my tutorial on the set it was suggested I have two holes either side of each leg which go through the whole of the seat of the chair so I can thread wire through to secure the puppet down whilst sat. |

Working in a jewellery shop is pretty handy when there are a lot of unwanted boxes lying around that I can recycle into bookshelves for my film!
I then covered these boxes in mod roc to harden the whole thing. 
After my tutorial on the set it was suggested that I try making books out of cardboard and once painted cover them in a layer of PVA glue so that it gives them a leathery shine effect. I also thought I could add bits of string running along a few of them to give the effect of the ridges on old leather bound books. 
This is what I intend for the bookshelf to look like. 
The plan for my set has changed since reworking the storyboard. I will now have less to make than before, no miniature is required, all that I need is a bookcase, ladder, desk and chair. These pieces will be able to move around to different positions in different shots.
